The destination
Bansko: the mountain that has it all
The Balkans' biggest ski area in winter, Pirin National Park in summer, jazz in August and mehana taverns all year. And our hotel sits 50 meters from the heart of it.

What to do
The mountain in every season
Bansko ski area
The gondola is about 5 minutes away on our free shuttle, leaving every 30 minutes. Runs for every level and 75+ km of pistes.
Pirin National Park
Lakes, peaks and ancient forests under UNESCO protection. Summer trails start minutes from town.
Bansko Jazz Fest
Every August the square becomes an open-air stage — and you sleep 50 meters from it.
The old town & mehanas
Cobbled lanes, revival-era houses and the local kapama stew — a step from the hotel.
At 930 m altitude
The summer the city never sees
While the lowlands melt, Bansko runs ten degrees cooler. Mountains in the morning, the pool after lunch, the garden restaurant at dusk — and no scorching asphalt anywhere.

The surroundings
Within an hour of reception
Bansko is also the perfect base for day trips — the five we recommend most.
The Banya hot springs
5 km away: warm mineral pools under the open sky — in winter with steam over the water and snow all around.
The Belitsa bear sanctuary
A refuge for rescued brown bears in the beech forest — about 40 minutes away, a family favorite.
Melnik & Rozhen Monastery
Bulgaria’s smallest town, sand pyramids and rock-cut wine cellars — about an hour and a half away.
Golf beneath Pirin
A championship 18-hole course near Razlog, 10 minutes away — with three mountain ranges in view.

Getting here and when to come
How do I get to Bansko from Sofia?+
About 160 km and two and a half hours by car — via the Struma motorway and the Predela pass. Regular buses also run throughout the day. Hotel parking is free.
Which airport is closest?+
Sofia (SOF), about two and a half hours away. For guests from the south, Thessaloniki (SKG) also works — around three and a half hours via the Kulata crossing.
When is the ski season?+
Usually mid-December to mid-April. The most reliable snow falls in January and February; March is the mildest and sunniest.
Is Bansko worth visiting in summer?+
Yes — at 930 m the town runs about ten degrees cooler than the lowlands, Pirin National Park is on the doorstep, and in August the square hosts the Jazz Fest. The hotel park and pool operate year-round.
